Important Information to Customers and Users

From midnight on Tuesday 17th August, we as a country will be moving into Alert Level 4, where all non-essential businesses are instructed to close and people are required to stay home.
Our utmost priority at this point is protecting our employees, our customers, users, and our community from the spread of COVID-19.
Port Marlborough is an Essential Service provider – and our mandate is to support Essential Services and Lifeline utilities. This includes:
  • Businesses providing essential services as defined by the NZ government.
  • Emergency services
  • Sounds residents – eg residents of the sounds with limited or no road access
  • Existing, known and approved live-aboard tenants in the marinas
Port Marlborough is committed to ensuring we are following the directives issued as well as minimising risk by implementing additional operational protocols to ensure the safety and exposure risk to staff and the community.

Port Marlborough Reception

Port Marlborough reception in Auckland street is closed. We are open to enquiries by email. reception@pmnz.co.nz

Port Services and Entrance

From midnight on Tuesday 17th August, Port Marlborough will be open to Essential Services only.

Picton Harbour Radio (PHR) and Port Services duties will continue to operate 24/7. Please contact PHR prior to vessel arrival. They will advise you on the facility you can use.
Please note the following:
  • Port Services interaction will only be by phone or intercom
  • Visitors and non-essential users will be denied access.
  • The Lagoon Road visitor induction Kiosk will be out of service until further notice. All users requiring to be inducted must either complete online or by arrangement with the Port Services Administrator.
  •  Port Services will not be offering a shuttle service until further notice (except in an emergency)
Marinas
Picton, Waikawa and Havelock marinas will be physically closed to all customers except for:
• Businesses providing essential services as defined by the NZ government
• Emergency services
• Sounds residents – eg residents of the sounds with limited or no road access
• Existing, known and approved live-aboard tenants in the marinas

Closure will include Customer Service Centres, Ablution & Rubbish / Recycling Facilities, Launching Ramp (except for essential use above), Waikawa Hardstand and Travel Lift facilities.

Should there be any issues with your vessel which require monitoring, please notify marina staff so that we can check on your behalf. All jetties with security gates will be closed 24/7 and accessible by card only. Dock-walks, security patrols and CCTV surveillance will continue to operate.

 

Please note that we remain open to enquiries by telephone and email, please contact us as usual via these methods and we will be able to assist with any enquiries, bookings, payments etc.
