COVID-19 Update - Alert Level 1

23/09/2020
Important Information to Customers and Users

The Auckland Super City area is at Alert Level 2 (L2) and the rest of New Zealand is at Alert Level 1 (L1). Port Marlborough has moved all its operational protocols in line with L1 requirements. Please note the following.

Golden Rules
During L1 most businesses can open their premises or sites if they can do so safely. Recreational boating is permitted under L1 and we will continue to open all our marina facilities.

Controls at the borders remain for those entering New Zealand, including health screening and testing for all arrivals, and mandatory 14 day managed quarantine or isolation.

Here are the Government’s golden rules for business in L1:

  • If you’re sick, stay home. Don’t go to work or school. Don’t socialise.
  • If you have cold or flu symptoms call your doctor or Healthline and make sure you get tested.
  • Wash your hands. Wash your hands. Wash your hands.
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow, and regularly disinfect shared surfaces.
  • Keep track of where you’ve been and who you’ve seen. Use the NZ COVID Tracer app.
  • Stay vigilant. There is still a global pandemic going on.
  • Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.

Masks
The Government’s advice on masks has changed over the course of the pandemic. Face coverings provide an extra level of protection in settings where there is little or no physical distancing between people, for example on public transport and in supermarkets.

At Port Marlborough, our utmost priority remains the protection of our employees, our customers, users and our community from the spread of COVID-19.
