NEW APPOINTMENTS TO PORT MARLBOROUGH BOARD OF DIRECTORS December 21, 2009 Port Marlborough Chairman, Mr Ed Johnson, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Keith Taylor and Mr Kerry Hitchcock to the port company’s Board of Directors. The new directors replace outgoing directors Mr Bob Penington and Mr Peter Taylor, both of whom retired by rotation at Port Marlborough’s recent annual general meeting.
Keith Taylor’s career history includes senior roles with Tower Limited and Government Life. He is now a professional director with specialist skills in strategy, governance, finance and audit and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. Recently appointed as a director of the Reserve Bank, his other directorships include Deputy Chairman of the Earthquake Commission and director of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and Gough, Gough and Hamer.
Kerry Hitchcock brings extensive property experience to the port company Board. He is a director and founding shareholder of property development and investment company Charta Limited and Charta Management Ltd, a residential and commercial property management company. He is also an independent director of the National Property Trust Limited.
